The GES Mixer Celebrating Diversity in Tech & Entrepreneurship was a beautiful thing. We enjoyed seeing attendees connect with entrepreneurs, angels, venture capitalists, filmmakers, and other contributors to the innovation economy. You can peruse and share photos from the event on our FB page (if you see someone you know, tag them and / or leave a link to their business page in the comments). This is just the first of many opportunities to capitalize on the intersection of diverse perspectives!
Special thanks to StartUpRising Leader, Lucy Keoni. An advisor to startups, board member of Girls In Tech, Vietnamese Women in Tech, and recognized as both Silicon Valley's Business Journal’s “Top 40 under 40” list and Profiled in Diversity Journal's "Woman Worth Watching," Lucy has a unique combination of finance, marketing, and operating experience. We're thankful for her partnership.
I'd also like to extend a special shout out to June Riley at VCTaskForce, Jesse Martinez at LatinoStartup Alliance, Ramona Ortega at MiDineroMiFuturo, Mark Crawford at Intel Capital, and Ryan Baird at GWC. Consider subscribing to their respective newsletters and following them on social media.
Oh - and join the clever folks who follow us, too: @diversecityv. We're claiming #DCVBeLike.
